I had a lot of trouble trying to get pistol kills, at first.  Trick is to go after someone with another weapon tag em a few times and then switch to your pistol to finish them off.  Try a shottie

I got my pistol one on Kubra Dam. The best spot to snipe with the pistol is on the bridge next to the neutral spawn point if you are US and the MEC forces have captured that flag. You don't even need to use your primary weapon to damage them before you kill with the pistol as they generally have no idea where you are shooting from

Still working towards my knife badge but have found one of the better maps to do it on is Sharqi Peninsula around the middle of the map. There is usually so much going on there that you can knife people at will quite easily.

i have troubles getting the explosive thing. i killed 8 persons with one C4, but then i had no chance to kill more. or i kill 1 or 2 every 3 minutes or so... thing is that i had 10 or 11, but never 13 kills with C4.... *urgs*

How about a ranked server using explosives only?  hehe.

Yeah, I do statpad once in a while, like commanding or the occasional Mashtuur BH whoring. But I pride myself at obtaining the badges and ribbons as fairly as possible.

C4 one was really tough for me, finally got it on Fushe Pass.  I got most of the kills by defending flags and blowing up loaded vehicles as they neared our flags, but when I realized I was close to 13 kills I waited till a group of enemy were capping a flag on foot (they were all prone), rushed in
and would throw em over the pipes take cover and boom.  Tossed another one, waited for the medic to come and revive his buddies, boom, three more kills.  That did it for me

jeah... that way i got my pistol badge, too.


but the explosive isnt in sight ................ killed TWELVE (!!!!!!) people with C4 at ONE time........ those 12 kills were the 8 needed tickets to win the game (ticket-ratio was 14:8...).... so i had no chance to kill one more.... *CRYYYYY*

I found the best way was to get the pistol or knife and find a server that plays Strike at Karkand on 24/7 (none of this stats padding nonsense, a good clean fight server). Karkand's landscape makes it great for getting close to people without too much trouble, and then comes the fun part: take them on. Playing as USA is best for the knife badge as you'll get MEC units camping various spots so you can get kills by sneaking up on them as they snipe/camp watching various roads and alleys. Play as a Medic too, so you can heal yourself between attacks. Screw the silenced pistol, you don't need it and the healing thing will help.

I literally ran around with the knife for a number of rounds purely getting kills with it alone (same for the pistol). It'll do some damage to your K/D ratio as you'll die quite a bit, certainly with the knife, not as much with the pistol. I picked up a Purple Heart in pursuit of the Veteran Knife Combat badge, but it's all good.

As you say, getting the badges and ribbons should be done in a proper game, for one it's so much more satisfying when you do so.

If u want the badges, do what i did, get a friend to help you out some..............

Play as a medic and spawn on a squad leader.You can hang back a little and kill from a distace.Considering that they have taken damge,you can get 7 kills easy. On a 300 ticket server it's not too hard.
18 kills with the pistol damn near got me a purple heart.

i got the basic and vet pistol badge on karkand as spec-ops.

what idid was on the MEC side spawn at the first flag towards USMC and go into the hills to the right all around and into the back of the 2 spawn points.
on the way i also blew up the artys and pistoled the ones trying to stop me remember to laways switch position after you killed 1 cause they will respawn and look for you.
just take a nice bush and then snipe them with the silenced pistol, its mostly possible to kill them before they can find you thats why i love the silenced pistol

I camped the building site in Sharqi

If u have a nice commander willing to put an UAV over the building site when you scout for enemies trying to take over the flag it's easy to either knife or pistol them as you have the element of surprise running down or up the stairs to determine on which floor that red spot is!



I'm now trying to get 18 kills in a round for the Expert Knife Badge, but it's proven to be harder than expected.
