YES USE COMPRESSED AIR, KEEP UPRIGHT - NO PROBLEMS

Me, personally, every once in a while I take out my card and bring it over to the SCUBA tank, and give it a good blast

Only costs 5 bucks a fill (3100 PSI) compared to the 10 bucks a can crap at Best Buy

I just scrape the dust up with a cotton-tip, and then pull it out in big chunks with tweezers.

Just did it last night on my 9700NT. The "dish" part where the fan sits was completely covered in dust, and almost no air was passing though. Such is the drawback of the Tt Shark - an excellent case for cooling, but a bitch for keeping dust out.

Where can I buy this "Compressed air" you speak of? Would bunnings have it?
Bought this at Target.

Uhh Target is a clothes store in Aussie, equivalence?
Target does sell mostly clothes and electronics and such, but they have groceries and the like, too.  Perhaps we have a "super" Target.  Dunno.

Remove Fan
Remove Thermal Paste
Compressed Air all around
Reapply thermal paste
Make sure fan fins are clean
Re-apply fan

The only time I have used a vacuum was to clean my Logitech G15. Ironically, the 'Del' key doesn't work now. Not that big a deal, I never used it anyway...
