They seem to be the same, yet have slight different descriptions and prices.
They both fit my PC, according to the configuration wizard thingy.

What's the difference between the two?
..and which one should I choose?

...Aaaaand should I get two? (I got 1 GB right now.)

PC2-5300 vs. PC2-4200. Get the first, if any.

Yes, more MHz = more speed.

I was more thinking about dual channel. What is your current configuration?

2x 512 MB.
Not sure what exact kind though.

You really should get another 2x512 or 2x1GB. The RAM won't run in dual channel if you put a solitary stick in.

Download CPU-z and tell what vendor and speed your memory is. The SPD tab is what you look at.

No, download CPU-z and find out what you have right now. Two single sticks won't function in dual channel either.

According to CPU-z:
Type: DDR2
Size: 1024 MBytes
Channels #: Dual

Did you click the SPD tab? It should say vendor manufacturer.

Also say max bandwidth.

Is this computer pre-built?

How much are you willing to spend?

Finally, do you have XP or Vista (I'm guessing XP)?

...Half.

I ordered it from Dell, but as you probably know, they have some customization.

Okay. I could find you a good 2x1GB set if you give me a budget.

I don't want to mix memory brands, and the memory found in pre-built (i.e. from Dell) is typically lacking in quality compared to brand name RAM.

Are there any other e-tailers in Canada besides A-power and NCIX?

Here, 1720 reviews on Newegg with 83% positive is impressive. Have someone verify, but this looks like what you want.

Yeah, that sounds good. Although, I doubt that a Dell board designed for a P-D (Propably i925X chipset) will run 800MHz RAM at full speed, if at all.

Before purchasing anything, I say, download Everest and post what chipset you've got. If it's some old crap (i915, i925, X Via chipset, etc), it propably won't like DDR800, and then 667 or 533 would fit best. DDR800 is overkill for an FSB800 CPU anyhow.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
