Yeah it's awesome. Wear lots of layers and you'll be fine, unless it's really hot, then you're kinda fucked.

have you been before? I've played for three years now my team was 6th in the nation last year and we continue to play all over the nation.

is it fun? Extremely, it is great exercise and makes you use your head and is a great team sport.

is it worth it? While paintball may be expensive (the average day of play is around $50) it is definetly worth it, there is a huge selection of gear to choose from and if you arent to serious about playing and don't want to fork over $500 for a gun you can always rent equipment or borrow from a friend.

does it hurt? Depends on your pain tolerance, if you get shot close quarters (25-50 ft) you might get a pretty good sting the first few times but after you play a few times you don't feel it.

***Don't ever be afraid of getting shot though, you will never get better if you don't play people who are better than you. That means you're going to get shot, but hey, you're going to learn much faster if you aren't afraid to be aggressive or trying to make a move that could potentially win a game or save a team mate.

henno13 - where!? Me and my brother have been dying to go for a while now but haven't found anywhere that sounds actually good. Although on the way to the International Airport I did see a sign saying "Extreme Paintball £5 for 15 minutes" or something.

dont take your mask off on the field.  getting shot stings for a second, but its not terrible. 

and a word of advice-  its not a video game.  you may be leet in the virtual world, but prepare to get owned irl...

Hell yeah its fun, its not all about running around fireing, you actually play all sorts of diffrent games, pure class your have fun even if your having a shit day

where i go its about £20 with a small amount of free BALLS, in sterling i normally spend about £40-60. and thats plenty to last you a good few hours

This may sound funny, but the best place to be hit is square in the face, those that have been b4 will know what i mean, as you have a mask on it dont hurt, but get hit in the hand with out a glove on NOW that hurts so take some protective gloves they normally sell them to you on sight, worth every penny. apart from that it dont really hurttttttttttttttttttt, UNTILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the next day when the bruising starts to come out, but they are kind of funny as the look like all over your body.

Yeh, I've been a couple of times. It's really fun, especially if your team is tactically aware, and overall awesome. It's more than worth it. The only time it hurts is when the paint doest actually explode, and even then, it only hurt when it cut my hand

a tippmann 98 custom with a flatline barrel is tough to beat.  reliable, and good range.

You can run it over with a truck and still have it work, but the flatline is very inconsistent accuracy wise. They are a good starter gun but if you want to get to higher firing rates and better efficiency the tournament level guns (i.e Smart Parts, MacDev, WDP, AKA, Dp, Dye, PE) are the way to go.
