9800gx2's in tri sli roflol
Thanks, but no thanks, from my earlier threads...i have had a bad experience with the 9800GX2's and way too expensive anyways.02fxnmaurer wrote:

I wouldn't go tri-sli right now, as nVidias current cards capable of tri-sli aren't really good buys. Wait for the next generation cards and get an 8800GT/GTS until then.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
780i and Geforce 9 series is a GIGANTIC waste of time and money TBH. Nvidias just playing with the dumbasses to get more money out of those tech noobs who strive to buy products with higher numbers and extra X-s in them.
780i fails because it is a 680i + nForce200 + 45nm support. Now new magic here. /fail
Geforce 9 uses G92 = absolute fail. It is an overcolcked and more power hungry 8800GTS. /Fail
790i Ultra Sli is the only thing that is worth it right now IMO.

As far as I'm aware, the only cards that support 3x SLI are the 8800GTX and Ultra. That may well have changed by now though.
The 8800GTX is going fairly cheap these days. If you've got a PSU that can cope, 3 of them would be very quick.

spoiled fuck
remember that 780i is slower than other mobos with only one gfx card. (bridge chip... ) So now go get 3 9800gtx cards lol
