I think it's about time people stopped defending the 360, it's a great console sure, but the PS3 is better in every way, and when it has time to develop a good selection of games (a few more months maybe), it will be undisputed that the ps3 is the best.

"zomg 360 has more games" is just old now.
I thought it was established by this point that the 360 is shit. I mean, come on, the thing actually commits suicide. Every single unit, sooner or later, will die on you. I'm not buying a console with a built in self-destruct on a timer randomly set somewhere between 6-18 months.

The only thing it has going for it is the fact that IT HAS MORE GAMES. Which, sadly, is a fact.

EDIT: Who was defending it anyway?
The newer models with the Falcon chipset are actually plenty reliable. I think the 360 is a fine system and it has its good exclusives. I just like the PS3 more because it has exclusives which I like more, and has some essential features for me (e.g. WiFi built in).

The two reasons i didnt buy a PS3.

Most of my mates have Xbox's
I hate the controller.

That's it. I could have stuck with the shitty library, because i would have held out for Turismo 5.

So basically, i'll be working crazy hours in the summer before Uni, and i'll buy a PS3 then, but still keep my Xbox.

Pretty much all of them.

20GB (lulz): Not produced anymore, don't bother looking for one it's a ripoff
60GB: Full feature set (e.g. 4 USB ports, the memory card ports, built in WiFi etc), full PS2 backwards compatibility (it essentially has a PS2 inside of it, or at least its graphics chip and CPU)
80GB: Essentially a 60GB with more HDD space but limited PS2 support (read: it plays most games... it is missing one of the chips of the PS2 in order to reduce costs). Not made anymore AFAIK except for the MGS4 bundle.
40GB: No PS2 backwards-compat, no memory card slots, 2 USB ports but otherwise has everything of the 60 and 80GB. I got this because I don't really care for PS2 compatibility.

The PAL version of the 60GB is the same as the 80GB NTSC.

I've been cotemplating about getting a 40 gig version as well. I was hoping to find one of the last 60 gig versions here in Europe but they are all gone from stores. The only ones available are shady deals and Ebay stuff (which I don't trust). Thanks a fucking a lot Sony, for ditching the Emotion Engine and software emulation all together in the only version available in this piece of shit country.

I was hoping I could play my PS2 games again because my old one broke down on me a year ago. So if I'll ever want to play those again I'll have to shell out for a ps3 and ps2...
The ability to play PS2 games was a bit pointless, you cant play PS1 games on it.. therefore just keep ur PS2 for PS1 and PS2 games. Just think of the greats on the original PS that you would miss if u got rid of ur PS2 eg FF games.
Read what he said
His PS2 broke.
PS2 costs 50 quid. Im sorry but if u cant afford that 50 quid but u can afford an extra 100 for the playback on the PS3 your a retard at maths.

    * Ridge Racer 6
Out of the MASSIVE list of exclusive games the xbox has here are the reasonably alright games that ive had or have.

Get a PS3, seriously, the games I have on my PS3 are far better than that on the xbox.

Yea...because you know what most of those are....

Quality > Quantity...
Some of those are actually quite good. I heard a lot of good stuff about Dead Rising, for example. The ps3 just doesn't have any good exclusives, sorry mate.
1. You though VB6 was exclusive... moron.
2. Drakes is one of the best single player games ive played in a LOOONG time.
3. Apparently ratchet and clank is very good too.

Indeed. I have both. The simple fact is the Xbox is just trying to be a PC with all its games, why would i get any game on xbox that i can get on PC? I wouldnt. Whereas PS3 has CONSOLE games. That is where the difference is.

To be fair, my first ps3 broke, it stopped reading discs, still started up, but stopped reading discs..
Phoned up Sony. Next day there was a bloke at the door with a new ps3 for me.
Now that is fucking customer support.

I'm suprised kptk hasn't shown up with his immature ignorant pro 360 bullshit tbh.

I can vouch for that, probably my favorite game I own for my PS3. There is so incredibly much going on in the background in every level, tons of humor, great story line, great sound, wonderfully fitting soundtrack, looks like a Pixar movie, good replayability (in my opinion, I've already spent over 40 hours on it).

Insomniac is one of my favorite game developers, they are right up there with Rockstar in quality.
