I just got a lightscribe burner.

I have many dvd and cd images but they are jpeg or jpg format
it says I need LSL format

is there a program that will convert my jpegs and jpg to lsl format?

thank you for any replies

the latest nero should be able to do it I think
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Is this one of those ones that writes the picture onto the top of the CD, or is that something else?

yeah thats what i mean

the discs have the color already in them and the laser burns/carves the image right onto the disc.

but all i have are jpgs and jpegs images and they need to be in LSL format

I use Nero 7 Premium for lightscribe burning and I've never had to change the format of a picture file. I use normal Jpegs. Are you sure you're doing it the right way?

Yes, while it is in the drive.

Wiki?

I have a lightscribe burner, but have never seen the point in buying the more expensive light scribe dvds, when a $2 marker will do the job.

My opinion as well.  I used it one or two times, and decided that it wasn't really that valuable of a feature (materials are WAY too expensive) ... my lightscribe burner died after a year, and (because of cost) I specifically didn't want another lightscribe enabled burner.

Besides, I like color on my CDs/DVDs ... perhaps when they are able to make this something other than monochrome, I'll be interested again.

so it will not even burn color onto the disc ?

i only wanted to test it out and make some cool looking dvd for my nieces.

if it wont even burn color and it just stays that gold color with a picture thats not even worth it.

No, lightscribe doesn't burn color.

The only thing you can do is buy different colored cd/dvd's. I've personally used my burner more times than I can count. Its a lot of fun burning random images on the ones you pass out to friends and family. Plus the range a Sharpie gives you just doesn't cut it sometimes.
