This seems too easy, but I found an exponential equation fits best.
With x=0 as 1965, the equation is:
235.27914*1.10547x=d
I won't be surprised if this is wrong, since I really didn't take much time doing it.

R² = 0.998 (an R2 value of 1 is a perfect correlation)
