Improving cooling

Right, now my case is ordinarily pretty cool, however now that I'm running 1.425v through the CPU it's a lot hotter. When I have the side door off, the temperatures drop 6 degrees or so (CPU gets to 51 at load with the door) suggesting that my case doesn't have adequate ventilation. I'm going to get something along the lines of a Scythe Kama bay to bring some more air in from the front, and I'm thinking about upgrading the rest of the fans to something that pull a little more air. I also want some form of memory cooling as my memory is smoking hot at 2.2v.

Suggestions please.

Water cooling is the way to go if you can afford it.

I have water cooling, my case is at 85 ambient and processor is about 100 and 90 (Fahrenheit for all)

But my coolent leaked a bit on my soundcard, thank god it wasnt damaged, also its a bitch when building a case (at least for me)

imo, im not sure if watercooling is worth it...

To be honest, 51°C for a cpu on load is not that high...
I wouldn't buy a new fan for it myself But if you want one, thermaltake is indeed a good option

Yeah, I know, it's more just because I know with a little help it could be a lot cooler. I may start by just getting the fan bay and the RAM cooler.

Get a GeminII It'll cool your CPU tons, and your RAM a lot too. Keeps my oc'd P4 with ~150w TDP under 70C load. My RAM doesn't even get warm.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

By about 4%, yes. The GeminII has the advantage of cooling everything on the mobo, too. Lowered my north bridge temp by about 10C.

Can you mount the fan on the side of your heatsink? If you have it facing where your out-take rear fan it could create a suction of hot air being released, which should help your temperatures.
