I got a crash with the defibrillators once. Normally when the bar is loading it goes from 0 to 1 for the charge.
I picked up someone's kit which pulled out the defibs. I shit you not, it showed a -1 on the bottom right of the screen which gave me a CTD.

Had the same problem. Try deleting your "Battlefield 2" folder in My Documents...save anything you need in there, eg. screenshots
