What the fuck, I made a double post, So I delete the double post and now the topic is gone :S :S :S. jezus christ, I'm not going to type it all over again .

Again:

I'm planning on buying an Cooler master geminII.

I have a very silent PC, all my cooling equipment has a noiselevel of around 20db and lower. I currently have a termaltake blue orb II as a cpu cooler, it has a noise level of 18dB. But with this cooler I can't OC much more further than 3Ghz because the temperatures will rise above 65C at load (running on 2.8 Ghz). I want this  CPU cooler for bigger OC potential while still remaining silent.

Now I need two dead silent 120mm fans with a noise level of 20dB or lower, and they have to have a good air moving capacity.

Also when looking at fans on websites: it says that fans have a air capacity in CFM, what does that mean??

CFM is Cubic Feet per Minute, obviously the higher the better.

I've got a fan that's 120CFM but it's fucking loud.

And get a Thermaltake Ultra 120 extreme, It's better than the coolermaster one.

Silenx iXtrema is the best I've ever found 90CFM @ 18db, a friend of mine is using 6 in an Antec 900, which is basically all holes and it's up on the desk by him and you can't really hear them, the other one I posted was the Xilence Redwing, nowhere near as good though but Silenx fans are like rocking horse shit to find over here.

No idea what's happened to the site, had threads dissapearing and loading a page takes forever.

EDIT: I'll also vouch for the 120 Extreme (I use mine with no fan on an e6600 at 3.2Ghz and peak temps are 50-55*c), it is a better CPU cooler, it doesn't help with cooling the rest of the motherboard components and RAM like the Geminii does though.

The block of fins is 120mm x 140mm (actually this <-- is bollocks ignore it lol, it's only 120x120ish).

What case are you using BTW?

Not on the list are the GlacialTech SilentBlade fans that I'm using. 35CFM, 950RPM, inaudible against my other fans, a Zalman VF-700Cu and a rather silent PSU 120mm @ 5v. I think the rating was 19dB at full speed, but it seems to be even less. They're dirt cheap, too, I bought mine for 4€/piece.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

the scythe S-flex and slipstream are very quiet when you run them at less than 1000RPM (by either undervolting or getting a slow version). I'm planning on using a couple of 800RPM slipstreams in my HTPC rig
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Don't know about that on mine one. It's an huntkey 500w. It's making this rather anoying sound, it's not loud, but it's the loudest component of my PC. All my components, except for the PSU are < 20dB.

Could be a bearing going out.  It's not uncommon to hear buzzing noises on a fan where the bearing is starting to go.  This is the PSU I use my system.  Notice the information under the Quiet Operatioin section.

So, I'll throw in my two cents.

First of all, forget about all noise ratings, especially Thermaltake make up their numbers (or they simply have a weird measuring method).
SilenX fans are not that quiet either anymore, there are/were in the beginning, but somehow, these noise ratings have also been proven wrong more than once. There are better ways to spend your money, I'd say.
So, what about Noctua? Well, they are (and there's not a whit of a doubt) the unquestioned kings of silence. The S12-800 is literally inaudible and moves quite some air, however, you have to keep in mind that due to it's blade design it doesn't offer high static pressure. This fan is ideal for wide fin gaps, as for example a Scythe Ninja has.
Noctuas S12-1200, on the other hand, moves some more air and also with a higher pressure. However, if you're sensible to it, you will hear 48 CFM of air through any hole with 120mm in diameter. The rotor itself is inaudible, again.
So, that was the premium class. If you've got loads of cash and seek the ultimate silence, there's no way you'll end up with anything but a Noctua. Seems that their new model, the NF-P12 is not on the list which would be most appropriate for CPU heatsinks. By the way, just as a comparison, you won't hear a Noctua fan that's rated 20db next to a Thermaltake fan that's rated 14db.

If you're looking for some cheaper stuff, it's the Scythe Slip Stream series you'd better choose. As long as you've got a symmetrical CPU heatsink that you can place two 800rpm'ish Slip Stream on (or that Gemin II, which I don't like, tbh), those are more than sufficient. Also, Silverstone offers quite some nice coolers with their Suscool series, which you might want to take a look at aswell.

As a side note, there are indeed 'black sheep' among every fan series - and you might just end up with one that is louder than the rest.
