You guys know that this argument is retarded right? Everyone likes different weapons. I would be much more confident with an Mp7 than a shotgun.

it should be pretty self explanitory that while im engineer trying to repair ill need a primary weapon ..i said i was trying to get repairs not i run around with my wrench in all situations...Wow you still didn't answer the question about what an MP7 has to do with you going around repairing vehicles.
thats funny considering you have 220 hours in vehicles ..and we all know how much skills it takes to drop arty ... as well as how easy it is to fight back against an arty strike ...Your vehicle whoring is 10x worse than me being a commander.

Same here, I prefer the Mp7 infact, the sound, the look of the gun, and I feel more confident and more certain of getting kills when I use it. I hate the shotguns as I just dont like using them on most of the maps, never really had a place for them, I much prefer the longrange rifles or carbines.R.Rabshaw wrote:

Unfair comparison IMO, comparing Assault rifles to Submachine guns.
MP7 in single fire can be used like a pistol only more powerful with an extra 5 rounds. Other than that it's a useless piece of crap. It just sounds good that's all.

It will be interesting to compare the MP7 to the P90 when that unlock becomes available, they are pretty much direct competitors for a PDW (personal defense weapon). Personally I think the P90 is a little bulky for that (MP7 can fit in a large holster) but then it has 50 rounds vs 20..
The MP7 flat out owns. If you think it sucks, you either, don't know how to use it, or haven't given it a chance.

The mp7 is a great weapon for the engineer. In the comming patch however, the damage will be decreased but its clip size will be larger (thought 30).

The mp7 is one of my favourite SMGs,love the accuracy,rate of fire,and it sounds nice.
I didn't read this whole thread but I must point out Agamemnar has had this debate in other threads. I don't know what his deal is but he absolutely hates the MP7 and thinks anyone who uses it is an idiot. The dude's got good some respectable stats but I don't know what his problem is. He's really nasty about his comments with this specific gun.

The fact that (a) you don't like it, or (b) don't know how to use it, or (c) don't think others know how to use, or (d) think you know exactly what an engineer should be doing all the time it is quite clear. As I've told you myself before, it has good utility in the right circumstances but certainly not all circumstances. Whether you believe me or others is up to you, but you ratchet up the nasty factor really quick and that is simply UNCOOL and makes you out to be a real SOB.

The MP7 actually has a slower fire rate than the othe SMGs (600 vs. 900), though it does more damage per shot (according to the client-side weapon stat files).
Maybe the bug in the fire rate is that it should be doing 900 like the other SMGs. It certainly sounds like it should be firing faster than a typical assault rifle or carbine!
The MP7 is accurate on single shot (much better than MP5, better than AK but worse than M16). It also has smaller penalties for firing on the move compared to assault rifles. The zoom bonuses are slightly better than assault rifles and the other SMGs.

It's the person wielding the weapon, not the weapon. There is a place for every weapon (don't want to bring a shotgun to a sniper party).
