You can run pretty much every game, except crysis, but you will have to use low settings to avoid screen lag.
It'll load slowly but once you're through that it'll run smoothly, I have the same graphics card and run it maxed on everything with no slowdown at all ever I have an OCd e6600 though, not sure how much that 3500 will bottleneck a GT but it'll certainly run well enough to play.
buy a new CPU. Your 8800GT is being bottlenecked like shit by that 3500. What is your motherboard? It will play on low with that CPU, while the 8800gt can play all high easily .

Maybe it bottelnecks a bit, but you CAN play most games with it. I know beacause I had one for three years.
CPU bit let down. Your other components probably aren't performing as well as they would be if you had a newer CPU.
