Should have put this in the Tech Section, but I cant move it now anymore, moving is bugged

so he hooked me & other guys from work up with discounts for samsung LCD Tv's

got the folder today, 42% off + up to 300 euros of "holiday money" from Samsung themselves,

got to do something with the Euro2008 coming up,

all are Full HD too + wall mounting thing (90€ each for free)

should I do it?

I can get a 40" Full HD + wall mounting thing for around 800 euros but I get 150/200 euros on top of that back (for that model, the holiday thing)..

I would, if get this amount of discount...If you can afford it, I see no reason why you shouldn't buy it.

What's the model?

was thinking that 32" would be sufficient also, I already find my 22" monitor big

How about you go to some Electronic shops and see yourself the different sizes...It will suck, if you sit very close to a 46"

I think the 36 or 40 would be more than enough, unless you're setting it up for a living room. If so, then you'll want it bigger because you'll be sitting a bit farther back.

it will be on the wall, I would be sitting in front of it, not that far, if It's an 46" screen, the image wouldn't be that great and I would become blind....

the room that it will be in isn't big, I would be located around 5 meters from the TV. the 32" is 82cm

yeah thats why I think that size is good enough, and no use for me to go blast more on useless big sizes.

Buy it
Sell it
????
profit!

Buy the largest you can, that will net you the most money, sell it, then use the money to buy yourself one that is a size you would like, and pay off your bills.

not sure how they do it there, but you need to be careful with this tactic alpha.

when i was working in a high end electronic store here in the states, i got deals like that, left and right (the best was a $1500 Pioneer receiver i got shipped to my front door for $240).
but the problem was, they would make you sign a waiver saying that you wouldnt resell it within a year. samsung was one of the companies that did that, so make sure if you plan on selling that you wont get in trouble.
i had a coworker that put a head unit up on ebay, and sure as shit, someone found the serial number and busted his ass....he lost his job and all sorts of shit.

anyway, DO IT MAN!!!!!
what do you have to lose, (besides money), and you wont find another deal like this for a very long time.

If you're 5 meters away from it, 46" isn't too big.

Hell, the couch is 4 meters from our 50", and that works perfectly.

Fuck, when I get my projector it's gonna be about 120"... And three meters away..........................
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Optimum viewing of 2.5x diagonal length of screen. So 46", optimal would be 115 inches, which is equivalent to approx. 2.9m away
