What, no riots? Don't try to run over a police officer.
Say, I don't know a lot about guns. How many times did he have to reload to get off 31 shots?
Cops always get off.
Wasn't it 3 cops shooting at the guy? I stopped reading the article when I saw Al Sharpton's name. I now understand the outrage...50% Al Sharpton, 50% the victim family/friend's legitimate rage.
**EDIT**
Ok, I just hacked down the story from a different source with less sharpton in it! lol
After reading the story, it seems the judge got it right based on what is reported. The debate isn't how many rounds fired...cops will ALWAYS be justified in the amounts fired regardless of the hindsight a reading public or victim's family will protest. You shoot until the threat is down. I'd also not be out of line suggesting that cops have the protection legally to have shot bullets even after the threat is falling down (if gun is still in hand of a shooting badguy as he falls). The cop has to protect his life...nothing matters more than that and that's the only real debate of this trial..."did the cops have the need to shoot" and from judging the criteria/scenario, i have no doubt they did. End of case.

If he's shooting a 9mm, the typical magazine is 15 rounds, so if he also had one in the pipe, he actually only reloaded one time.Sorcerer0513 wrote:

What happens if it was 3 black cops shooting a white guy or 3 black cops shooting a latino.
Where would the the outrage be then?

Instead of Al Sharpton, you could get La Pierre of the NRA! or Bono maybe if he's in town!S3v3N wrote:

Only if you're racist.S3v3N wrote:

It was 2 Black Cops and a White cop shooting a Black dude, so its more about trigger-happy cops (if anything) than about racist ones.S3v3N wrote:

In the words of Dave Chappelle.... "okay, let's sprinkle some crack on them and get outta here!"CommonSense wrote:

Why is it always "KKK blah blah blah" crap? Just because the man got shot doesn't mean it was solely because he was black. Apparently the fact that 2 of the 3 detectives who fired were black and that Bell hit a police officer with his vehicle has no bearing for these people protesting. As usual Sharpton tries to stir up racial tensions to get his face on tv.
They were from the NYPD minstrel division, they weren't real black guys.Stingray24 wrote:
