Title says it all

Ever since the one of the recent flashplayer updates, I go to any media website (youtube, wipido, googlevideo, putfile...etc...even facebook!) and it tells me that I need to upgrade flashplayer.
I update it, install it and the message appears saying that it has installed.

Yet when I go back to those websites, it still says that it needs installing and is out of date. It has been like this for I dont know how long and it is fucking annoying.
This is the link it gives: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download … kwaveFlash , I install it...and nothing.

Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my PC, everything...

I am running Vista and IE (dont slate me too much ). Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get it to work, because I have no clue, unless they are updating flash every other minute...

I had this before, theres a guide to it somewhere on adobes site. Think i had to uninstall it, clear temp internet files and re-instell. i'll try to find the guide.

Edit: are you upgrading from flashplayer 7?
this link could help: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon … ;sliceId=1

Give this a try.

No seriously, do it.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
