Ya mean when was the last time Israel was attacked and Israel defended itself?? I dunno, what time is it??rammunition wrote:

Probly not a good ideal. That little country can open up a can'o wupass when it really needs to.
Iran bombed Iraq in 88 and Syria got its ass whupped in the 70's, funny really if they'd wanted to keep the Golan Heights they shouldn't have tried to pull one off on Israel.rammunition wrote:

Israel bombs targets in retaliatory strikes against positions used to fire homemade rockets into Israel, this is otherwise known as *fan fare* a counter-attack.
Should i find this young asshole and do horrible stuff to him? Nah not worth the time nor effort.
Syria has jets?
No, I do not think they should. I think Israel has a more stable government for it so why destroy it...

Wow, this guy just reaches new lows of... well... foolishness.

Israel has been building nuclear plants in secret for decades, a whistle blower by the name of Mordechai Vanunu was kidnapped when caught and has spent the last 20 years in jail for exposing Israel's secret nuclear program.
The fact is that in addition to tanks, F-16s and cluster bombs, Israel has nukes, and its is Israel (not Syria or Iran or Hamas) which is illegally occupying land and extending its lawful borders.
Also Israel is the biggest proliferator in the region. Not Syria, not Iran.
Israel is armed to the teeth and attacks everyone but the other country should shut up and receive this without flinching?
Syria has just announced that it was ready for more talks and for peace. Israel has announced that it might bomb Syria.
Hamas has announced that it was accepting a ceasefire. Israel has rebuked this.
the obvious answer is: Israel does not want peace.
It is time to stop appeasing Israel.
one more thing i will add. 189 countries have signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which is a treaty to limit the spread of nuclear weapons. 5 nations on the list have nukes. Only 4 countries haven't signed this treaty. Israel with being one of them who hasn't signed and the only nation in the middle east who hasn't.
why shouldn't Syria or,better, Iran bomb Israel's nuclear facilities as there is a much better case to do so?

Israel should be Violently and Forcibly destroyed, i.e. Wiped off the map.
Despite his colorful language, the message still stands. I could say "Mrs. Clinton is unlikely to become president," to sound polite, but everyone would know I mean "Hilary hasn't got a snowflake's chance in hell, nor should she."
Technically Israel won all the land they occupy in wars that were started by others, its called the spoils of war.rammunition wrote:

I read nothing there that states a country cant occupy land after the war aslong as the citizens can still live there...CameronPoe wrote:

but at the same time, lets bring this up, Israel gets invaded by 5 countries, completely dominates them and then keeps a bit of land. What is wrong with that? Did Israel start the war? No.

100s of 1000s of Arabs have not been allowed to return to their homes in Israel following the 1948 war and have received no reparations. The inhabitants in the occupied West Bank are completely disenfranchised - if Israel wanted to adhere to the 4th Geneva convention then they should either get out completely or hand West Bankers Israeli citizenship - it's as simple as that.Vilham wrote:

In fact Israel did start the war. It was called the war of Israeli independence and it started in 1948. They then went on to start the Suez war, at the behest of the UK and France, and took the Sinai peninsula from Egypt. Israel also commenced the 1967 war of which you speak when it firebombed the entire Egyptian airforce in their hangars prompting the ensuing conflict.
War for expansion is just plain wrong.

That is completely and utterly untrue. It's disheartening how few people seem to have any real grasp of the history of that region over the last century or so....Vilham wrote:

From what ive read that is completely true.Bertster7 wrote:

I agree war for expansion is wrong, but from what ive read and understand of the war it was a war of defense.CameronPoe wrote:

Then you can't have read much about it. They took the land and declared Israel a state before any of these wars had taken place. Not long before, admittedly, but before. Therefore the land was not the spoils of war.Vilham wrote:

Additional territory (such as the Golan heights) were captured during war, but that is by no means "all the land they occupy", so your statement is inaccurate.
In any case, only the most radical Israelis hope to annex the occupied territories. If the millions of arabs in them became citizens of Israel it would destroy the Jewish character of the state. If the arabs were not granted citizenship it would be a sort of apartheid. And continued occupation really sucks too. I think the vast number of Israelis want to get out of the occupied territories.
Closer to the OP, what can Syria give Israel in exchange for control of the Golan Heights? A peace treaty wouldn't be worth much because Syria can just act against Israel through Hezbollah. And given Syria's connections to Iran it's unlikely it would have an open and friendly relationship with Israel anytime soon. It might make sense for Israeli to relinquish control anyway, but can it get anything from Syria in return?

Why do you hate Syria so much? What Syria did to you that you want it to be destroyed?Should Syria Bomb Israel's Nuclear Facilities?
