A well-managed PC can do everything a console can, and much, much more. I don't have any major interest in the consoles, as they're just simple and limited, for people who want to "just play". when I purchase a cheap graphics card. That's basically impossible on consoles. Plus, PCs are a lot more fun, from a technology point of view.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Besides, somewhat of a pointless argument. Simple fact of the matter is, there are some games that come out on consoles only, and others unique to PC. Buy what you play, in my case (and jsnipy's ) Get both mofos!

I admit a pc is superior in almost any way, but I also own consoles. Partly for the exclusives, partly because some games play better on consoles. If a console goes cheap enough, it's worth buying. (Like the 360 right now, they're basically throwing those things out. I got mine for less than what a Wii costs. I hooked it up to my monitor so I don't even need a HD tv.)

@Console war: I find Consoles to be far better for the social aspect of gaming. I don't invite 3 friends over to "OMG LET'S LAN SOME CS:SOURCE DOODS". Playing some great split screen action on the same screen and have fun is what consoles are all about.

It makes dust stand out so much, and somehow gets smudges and shit on it when I haven't even touched it at all. Plus it looks gay. Rarely are TV's/Electronics and shit shiny like that. Hmm yeah, its just like a dvd player/blu ray player in one, although there some region issues and that you have to do some homework to find out.. It can also go wireless, hook up with your external hdd etc and not to mention play games. However, my ps3 isnt ps2 compatible so it can only play ps3 and ps1 games. But what does that matter, I have a ps2 anyways.
