Only if you view giving up golf as the only thing Bush has done in that regard.

One aspect of his life and Olberman extrapolates it to be everything and then uses that lazy logic to back his rabid, frothing, ad hominem attacks.

I'm no fan of what Bush has done, but Olberman is just an unmitigated ass.

I'm not much a fan of Olberman, he strikes me as a bit of a 'liberal' O'Reilly, just I find he's points slightly more agreeable.

I like Olberman, but just as you said a liberal O'Reilly for sure.  I agree with alot of his points, but always keep a wary ear on what he says.

You make fun of him for playing golf in a crisis. Then he gives up golf and you still make fun of him. It just goes to show you how partisan politics really are.

Olbermann is occasionally funny, but he's way too theatrical for my tastes.

Anyway, what concerns me about Bush is that he often talks like he's unaware of the level of responsibility he has.  It's like he's a kid in an adult's body while presiding over the world's most powerful country.  Some people seem to find that endearing, but I find it utterly disturbing...

I used to defend Bush. But anyone who gives up golf is an asshole, especially if you get to play on any course you want.

The problem with Olbermann is that, while he might be right about a lot of things, he expresses it in an overly snarky and self-righteous way.  It's like he actually inspires you to find a way to prove him wrong just to subdue his persona.

In short, he'd make a great researcher of the follies of conservatives, but he's not a good spokesperson for liberals.

It's hard to know what really goes on in his mind, since he has been so damned  incompetent at articulating himself.
That said, I definitely agree with that impression, or can see it too.

It's like he makes no secret of the fact that the presidency is not just a one man job, or maybe in particularly his case. He strikes me as a guy who isn't always hands on about the job like, where other presidents sat and deliberated, did the hard thinking and decision making..Bush has been more of a guy who says "I got people for this" and lets his cadre of advisors  and cabinet officials "handle things"

Not quite  the "Decider" he'd like to think he is.

Again, this isn't meant to be a statement of fact, just an impression I have gotten over the years, and I also agree it's a bit worrying, it's too, I dunno,  cavalier

I have read some of Woodward's books on him and he seems to be more serious behind the scenes, so maybe it's more of a style thing

As for Olbermann, I detest the man. I'd rather watch that doofus  O'really over him, FEOS has it right, Frothing.

zomg Phil Hendrie lives !

He is not on the radio here anymore (it made a small comeback on one station late at night for a while but I think it's gone again, stations here suck)

I loved his old show, and find an affinity to his political views.

Oh, and  he's dead on about Olbermann,  as usual

While I agree about the parallels between him and O' reilly, I found that his rant had a genuine sense of anger at what Bush has done over the years. Maybe I didn't see that he was over the top because I was happy to see someone on national TV expressing my own views on the bastard.

Mind you before the Bush administration I was quite the conservative, but he is totally right about McCain and alas why I support Obama.

No.  Bush plays golf... You ridicule him.  Bush doesn't play golf.. You ridicule him.   Which is it guys?  Either way Olber fails.

Speaking of O'Reilly...

Interesting that it's his off-air meltdown (from years ago) that gets all the media attention, while the anchor in NY who dropped the F-bomb on live TV just the other day only gets mentioned as a way to show the O'Reilly meltdown.

Did I mention that O'Reilly's meltdown was off-air and years ago?

Probably has nothing to do with which station O'Reilly works for now.

Damn, that vast left-wing conspiracy is at it again.  They need to cover another few weeks of Reverend Wright's idiocy to balance things out.

And by the way, which anchor are you talking about?
