in maths, and it was like 20 minutes gone, and it had dragged by, and he said; "Just finish off this question and you can all pack up and go."

And everyone's faces lit up and got excited, and because all the year 11's leaving took all the clocks hardly anyone knew, and we were all like: "That went quickly"

And the supply said: "Yeah, that lesson did go quickly didn't it, JUST LIKE YOUR INTELLIGENCE!! *laughs*"

Then he did mathematical magical tricks for the rest of the lesson.

Anyone else had a lesson like this?

Supply mean substitute?

If so, we had one who came in, gave everyone the 'work' supplied by our normal teacher and said.

"You can do this if you want or you can do anything else you want to"

"But remember to close the blinds so people walking past can't see you doing nothing"

and then proceeded to walk out, for the entire period.

Back in middle school I had a substitute teacher who would just tell us stories from his time in WWII. It was awesome. He had liberated concentration camps and all sorts of stuff like that.

I hate the way English people talk, the words they use make no sense!

"In maths, and it was like 20 minutes gone"???

You mean, "After 20 minutes of math class..."

"and because all the year 11's leaving took all the clocks"

I don't even begin to know what that means...

It makes perfect sense, just try to understand it without re-arranging words.

Screw you, just because he can't use grammar properly, it doesn't mean we all can't.

And you, American, I assume, can't criticise the English language, when you speak it yourself (well, a butchered version).

Because you're an ignorant fucktard. Unlike us folk, who understand our and your form of English.

I've noticed it alot with Americans. They are unable to grasp other forms of English yet everyone else seems to understand their stupid fucked up version. Fucking...hell.

His grammar is absolutely atrocious. They are quite right and there is no excuse for it.

However, the typical standard of grammar from Americans on this site is no better. Unfortunately.

The thing that gets me is all the stupid mutilated sayings that make no sense whatsoever. Like "I could care less" - it's not "I could care less", it's "I couldn't care less", otherwise it makes no sense. That's just one example that I see all the time and it really pisses me off. That, for the most part, is a very bad American grammatical trait.

I'm not making any claims about Americans not writing English properly (apart from the obvious wrong spellings, but that's not your fault, it's how you were taught) . I have in fact stated that American's writing on this site is of a roughly equal standard to any of the other native English speakers. The one thing I have pointed out is a stupid nonsensical phrase that Americans seem to use a lot, which I don't like because it doesn't make any sense.
