It does bottleneck. Even my Q6600 at 3.6ghz was a bottleneck in 3Dmark.
And Q6600 >>>>>>> Phenoms in games.
2.3GHz is pretty low for AMD CPU. There is your problem. The CPU clocks just do matter that much.
