Does anyone know how to move the BF2 data out of My Documents and into something more sensible like Application Data?
I have a program (foldershare.com) that syncs my My Documents to several machines but I only play battlefield on one. Without BF2 data my whole profile is half a gig. With it, it's over 2 gigs. And some of these computers are syncing over the Internet! Unfortunately I can't tell it to skip/ignore certain folders.
When will game programmers learn? My Documents is for user generated files; application data for save games, settings, and stuff that you may want to backup; and Local Files are for stuff like cache files. I can kind of understand putting save game data in My Documents since many users don't know where else to look, but cache files? That's ridiculous. Audible is doing the same thing and putting logs in My Documents. Logs I say!!!
