and so I come to lie in prostration before the sound wisdom of BF2S.
I had extremely wide feet up until I was maybe 12 and therefore haven't really run the gauntlet of nike/reebok/adidas type of shoes, I just wore whatever I could find that would fit. Often that was New Balance, which I liked up until about a year ago when they dropped the line of shoe I liked, and what they replaced it with is shit in my opinion. I am open to just about any brand, and my feet aren't really wide anymore but if a brand runs very narrow it might be a problem.
Just about the only sport I play is racquetball, but because of my young and supple joints I don't necessarily need a lot of ankle support. I do however need grip on the slick court. At the same time I don't want just a skater shoe or something, because I want good grip in mud/wet grass kinds of situations. I don't go trail running every day or something, but when the need arises for whatever reason I don't have a problem getting dirty and some of the shoes I had in the past seriously let me down in this respect. Bonus points for shoes that are fairly waterproof and/or don't wear out easily. Look is pretty much irrelevant.
I realize that's a lot more than most of you care, but I don't really know who else to ask for advice about this stuff.
tl;dr
need quality all-purpose tennis shoes
