The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
I think C. 4850s aint exactly folding monsters :\ Thats all am usin right now. GTX 295 shouldnt be THAT much more expensive than two 4850s surely?

As I've said at least twice before, one 8800GT isn't enough for a 24" screen.twoblacklines wrote:

oh I see... yeah but It's not so much the PCI ports, the chipset doesn't scale Crossfire as well as X38/X48Freezer7Pro wrote:

The 8800GTX actually shows its true power under higher resultions. At low res the G92 might have a slight upper hand, but once you increase the res and add AA the 8800GTX shines

yes the 8800GTX indeed is better for AA/high-resolution.max wrote:
