by the way, take a look, the NF200 chip seems to perform a little WORSE in 3 way SLI.

Actually the NF200 chip does nothing to improve performance. Actually it slowers the 3-way SLi performance atm while costing more and adding heat to the mobos. I call that fail. Why the hell you would like to ruin the new SLi boards with shitty nvidia chips when we just got rid of them?

That NF200 chip has BAD latency issues. It is the single reason why 780i is 10% slower than rest of the boards with singgle GPU. And it causes LOTS of funky driver issues so DO NOT WANT.

So anyone looking for tri-sli on i7 skip all boards with NF200, just get the normal X58. There is review on HardOCP about NF200 + X58 vs X58 and NF200 flopped badly.

edit: but those GTX 295s..... UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Tempted by the BFG 295 on overclockers. It isnt priced that crazy, considering how bad the £>$ exchange rate has hit. Then again I believe the 40nm cards are due around april-may.

Not really, because it's PCIe 2.0. So, x8 == x16 PCIe 1.1.

ATi's new 9.1 beta driver is pulling the X2 ahead in a lot of games espcially in the higher resolutions and with the filters cranked.
