It seems thought that rather than 4chan being an ultra-powerful internet body it just so happens that uber nerds who know all the tricks of the internet and computers in general seem to be attracted to it. 4chan itself is nothing more than a forum for people to share their warped sense of humour, (and warped fetishes,) with other likeminded people.
