Sounds like a reporter went home and asked his son what it was all about.

Krautchan used to be a great place, but due to the publicity it received with the fake announcement of the recent German shooting it's full of newfaggy cancer nowRoger Lesboules wrote:

Maybe THE dumbest thing ive ever read....FOXNews wrote:
The most powerful people on the Internet don't work for Microsoft, Google or the government. Rather, they're a bunch of antisocial, foul-mouthed, clever nerds who congregate at a largely unknown Web site called 4chan.org.
Ever get your MySpace page hacked into? Chances are it was 4chan's fault.
Surfing YouTube and suddenly find yourself watching an old Rick Astley music video? You were "rickrolled" by 4chan.
Enjoy reading Sarah Palin's personal e-mail? She's got 4chan to thank for that.
Hear someone shout out the ending of the latest Harry Potter book while you're in line at Barnes and Noble? 4chan strikes again

I believe I've expressed my dislike of 4chan before so I won't bother to do it again. It seems thought that rather than 4chan being an ultra-powerful internet body it just so happens that uber nerds who know all the tricks of the internet and computers in general seem to be attracted to it. 4chan itself is nothing more than a forum for people to share their warped sense of humour, (and warped fetishes,) with other likeminded people. The fact that the ubernerds who can play the internet like a fiddle are attracted to that kind of thing is just coincidence, it has nothing to do with 4chan itself.
Also often when something starts at 4chan it gradually finds its way out into the wider internet which makes it seem more influential than it actually is. There has always been a central hub for the origin of Internet memes, at the moment that hub happens to be 4chan.
