The most definitive picture of the national obesity crisis to date has found that Australians now outweigh Americans and face a future "fat bomb" that could cause 123,000 premature deaths over the next two decades.
OMG! There's a fat bomb! In Australia!
Better torture some muslims until they tell us where its planted.
But yes, Australians are on average pretty chubby, and generally not that tall -> BMI not good.
Its unusual to see the behemoth man-mountains you see in the US though, but pretty well everyone is carrying a stone or two they don't need.
On-topic:
Sprained my knee four or five times now, so I can't do any sport which involves twisting and turning eg Badminton. Its pretty well stuffed.
First time I did it the Doctor took one look and wrote out an 'off games' note 'until further notice' - which was a first.
I have always been close to hypermobile, spraining both ankles within a few hours was a particular low.... and I'm having a lot of trouble with my tendons now.
No broken bones though, despite falling off horses, mountain bikes etc.
Some occupational injuries, I can't use a hammer drill above my head any more, and the last four years deskwork has not done my shoulders or eyesight any good at all.
