Last accident I had was Thursday 2 weeks ago. I fell off my bike and slid against the ground. I had a nasty infecting on my right elbow but that's fine now. It was all read and hot and bumpy and all Then there's this big sliced open part of my hand, that's almost done now, but the fu**ing scab came off and it's all pink underneath, but I'm all good!

I don't have injuries too often...

Australia has become the fattest nation in the world, with more than 9 million adults now rated as obese or overweight, according to an alarming new report.

The most definitive picture of the national obesity crisis to date has found that Australians now outweigh Americans and face a future "fat bomb" that could cause 123,000 premature deaths over the next two decades.

Injuries...

Broken collar bone, left side. That's about it. I've been pretty lucky in that the stupid shit I do generally doesn't get me hurt.

My right wrist has always been a trouble area. I sprained it badly once when I was 13 when I was riding my bike and the slipstream from a truck blew me off the road into the sea, (tide was out so I landed on the rocks, woo-fuckin'-hoo.) When I was 17 I drove a CAR off the road, (same road, little further up,) onto fuel pipes. Totalled the car and totalled my wrist. Got my picture and a write-up in the paper too thanks to that fuck of a photographer who happened to be travelling behind me at the time. Hang on, I'll see if I can find the article...

nah it was funny. didn't feel it much that night cause i was a wee bit gone...

skip forward to a week later (where i'd convinced myself it was just a bad bruise) and some teacher says i should probably get it looked at (was turning very dark purple). smashed the thumb bone at the wrist side of things, fractured two other main bones, some of the broken bits had damaged some muscles and stuff. had two big big big metal pins put in under surgery to hold it all together, and got given lots of fun drugs.

this was great, but i had A-levels about 4 weeks later, and didn't have anywhere near enough time to finish the physio.

cue me having to stop every 5 minutes because my hands seized up from writing.

still, the morphine was worth it.

OMG! There's a fat bomb! In Australia!
Better torture some muslims until they tell us where its planted.

But yes, Australians are on average pretty chubby, and generally not that tall -> BMI not good.
Its unusual to see the behemoth man-mountains you see in the US though, but pretty well everyone is carrying a stone or two they don't need.

On-topic:
Sprained my knee four or five times now, so I can't do any sport which involves twisting and turning eg Badminton. Its pretty well stuffed.
First time I did it the Doctor took one look and wrote out an 'off games' note 'until further notice' - which was a first.
I have always been close to hypermobile, spraining both ankles within a few hours was a particular low.... and I'm having a lot of trouble with my tendons now.
No broken bones though, despite falling off horses, mountain bikes etc.

Some occupational injuries, I can't use a hammer drill above my head any more, and the last four years deskwork has not done my shoulders or eyesight any good at all.

- 10 yo, Riding a bike down a steep road and hitting the front brake, I went airborne for 2 seconds and landed on my right arm on concrete. Surprisingly I was alright, I just picked the bike up and continued, lol. Later on, it bruised, hurt a little, but that was it.
- Cut my thumb like real deep while trying to cut open a box. lots of blood, healed in like an hour lol.
- 1 month ago, I was playing football and landed on my left arm, concrete again. it didn't look very serious but it hurt like a bitch, I could feel my heart beating in my arm, was unable to extend it for 2 weeks.

thats three off the top of my head. I've probably had more and funnier, but they were never serious injuries. Haven't broke any bones in my lifetime, thank you mom and dad for your genes, lol.

Yep, 'tis me aged 17, about a year before joining this site.

The article got a few things wrong:
- Wasn't uninjured
- Wasn't year 13, (year 12.)
- Wasn't on way to school band practise.
- The car my mum crashed was done so for insurance purposes, (had some rust keeping it from getting it's warrant so mumsie backed it into the letterbox.)

Also I wasn't charged by the way and I know the twat who wound up in the same position the four days before - he was charged.

When I was like 12 I drove a quad into the side of my grandparents' barn.

I was turing and the farm was on the inside of the turn, then it "Slipped" on the gravel and aimed me at the barn. Didn't have time to react, was at about 30km/h

If I didn't have a helmet I know I would be dead today.

And what would you guys do without my gay posts to bash eh?

Edit: It flew me off the quad and I landed head down against the barn wall then fell down onto my head ouuuch

Ummm...tbh I can't remember what happened in the few hours after the incident...

Oh and one time I jumped with my motorcycle over this bump in a field and when I landed the back wheel slipped and I landed with my chest onto the side of the handle. So it was like a big baseball bat being shoved into my stomach.

Ahhh the memories

I have dozens of others things if you guys wana hear

Okay, I'm a big biker, I've always loved mountain bikes! They a friend and I saw Dany Mcaskill's trail videos and just decided to go through our village and try and go down and up some random difficult things.

There's this one typical Swiss path with stones instead of tiles, and we went down it. There's a 2 foot drop at the end and I was behind my friend. Brakes don't really work on that surface so we just went down it. He was first and didn't "Jump" with the front of his bike before he landed, so he flew over his handle bars and the bike landed on his head. He was bleeding, not too much but it defiantly needed to be taken care of quick. So we rode to my place and to the WC and I patched him up and disinfected (Big cut in the back of his head between the head and neck kinda) and then I asked if he was alright and all (He was sitting the whole time) then he stands up, and is all dizzy, I said "You okay man?" he's all "Yeah sure never better" then I turn around and here "Thump!" and look back and he fainted xD
