I am hours away from heading to the recruiter's office. I'll be heading there bright and early in the morning to gather as much information as I can. I won't actually be enlisting today as I've yet to make a final decision, but over the past while I've been considering doing it.
I'm not quite happy with where I am in life. My job, while fun, is going nowhere and barely pays the bills. I don't feel as though I'm fully respected there either. I never went back to college to finish up my degree and that's a bit of a blemish I look back on and regret. I also love to travel, but that's just not happening as much due to lack of funds and time.
So. With that said. I'll be heading in to the recruiter's office tomorrow to see what the military can offer me. Right now I'm leaning toward Navy, but Air Force is a close second. I have no desire to join the army, and very little desire to join the Marines.
I know there have been a bunch of threads made about this subject. I've read all of them. However, this is a big, important, life-changing decision for me...and I wanted a thread that pertained to me specifically.
So...thoughts on the matter? Preferably from people with military experience, but any opinions will be welcome.
