Almost done with my first Kilo of shake. I bought the cookies n cream flavour, apparently it was a new flavour so I thought I'd try it. Tasted alot like Vanilla ice cream but I'm not complaining. Gonna buy Optimum Nutrition for the next Kilo. I heard chocolate flavours mean less protein because the cocoa takes up a small % of the protein, so outside of chocolate what's an awesome flavour? (and not vanilla either)

On their website there's this "Rocky Road" flavour...what the hell is that?
Like the ice cream. Basically chocolate and nuts IIRC.

I end up getting sick of the flavours I just get the plain whey. Plus it costs more!

Same cba with stretching I swear I heard someone say it's bad for you.
Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me.

Stretching post workout lengthens the muscles and encourages further muscle growth, or so I've read. There's a lot of literature on the net about it.

Good God I need a little weight. As much as I eat I can't seem to gain anything. I'm only 130lbs for Christ's sake.

Go to bodybuilding.com and read some articles about bulking up. Also read up about your caloric intake - you should be eating 500 cals above your body's maintenance level. If this doesn't do anything after two weeks, up it by a further 300.

If I remember correctly maintenance level goes a little something like

200lb -2k daily
180lb -1800 daily
165lb -1650 daily ... etc

Will vary according to activity level and metabolism of course. It's just a general rule. Michael Phelps need not apply himself to this formula with his 12k a day diet.

Will be way more mate. I know some ectos that eat 4000kcals per day (while working out, though) and still have a hard time putting on weight.

That doesn't sound right, aren't men supposed to eat 2500cal a day and women 2000cal?

Try this, it's a rough estimate but gives you an idea.

Obviously genetic factors, activity level (see Micheal Phelps example), and age play into it. However, thinking back I think the article(s) I've read on recommended caloric intake were focused on trimming down. Not bulking up. .. so perhaps that's why the numbers were low. It would seem that a maintenance intake is more like 15 to 16 calories per lb, whereas losing weight would be closer to 10 calories per lb. oops. it was a long time ago ... like Muscle Media 2k days .

To lose weight or cut you want to eat about 500 cals below your maintenance.

For the record, ON Banana tastes fucking awful. Like chemical waste but with a hint of those shitty candy bananas in it.
