but it's not really for the best. There's better options that are far less physically intrusive. Not everyone is patted down. Not everyone goes through the backscatter machines. So if by chance the $12/hour guard catches one of these terrorists, great. But the fact of the matter is pat downs don't do much if anything at all for security except make people complain. I've seen/read results from numerous tests the airlines and government have performed regarding airport security, and they all have dismal results.
