I use DirecTV, HD box in the living room and had a standard box in the bedroom. Hooked up a Roku XD in the bedroom with a HD antenna for the local channels.

I'm considering doing the same set up in the living room and dropping DirecTV.
I'm using the Sony Media box. It does virtually everything the roku box does for about $75 (I've seen them as low as $60). It also plays my own video/music files and has worked with every single format I have thrown at it. I either plug my wd passport into the usb on the front, or stream it via dlna server from my PC. The built in wifi has an excellent signal, picture is great coming from Netflix and HULU plus.

Edit: Also, gignanews.

Dude, stop pirating. seriously.
Ehh, I only torrent the shit I can't actually watch online, like Mythbusters, How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad, House etc. Cause that stuff gets to the UK really really late compared to when it first airs. I watch Top Gear on BBC iPlayer, Shameless on E4OD, and sometimes I watch TV Catchup.

Use to have standard digital cable (480P) but over the air digital has much better picture (720P).  Use netfilx/hulu for inaccessible shows.

DirecTV is Satellite.  Dish Network is the other major satellite provider here.

Cable (iO/Cablevision right now), but when I get my own place I'm getting FiOS or DirecTV.

I actually recently (February) dropped my cable provider and bought PlayOn. I am using it via my PS3/Xbox360 along with Netflix and saving $77/month. I am happy about it right now. I am not sure about what I will be doing when the football (NFL) season starts back up (IF it does). I Get most ESPN events on my Xbox though, so I guess we will see. I only lost a couple shows, and can wait on them to come out on DVD.

This, basically.

Although technically I don't think iPlayer is legal if you don't have a license (not that anyone really cares, but yeah).

Satellite. But we get ripped off where I live and we pay $100 a month for all these "channels" and we only watch like 7 or 8 of them. Their little packages of channels and HD channels are crap.
