EA/Dice listen!
Why, for gods sake you have brought a long desired patch for BF2 towards the community without being properly tested???
What the hell came over you? '...huge thanks to our community for helping us grasp the issues that have made your gameplay less than optimal at times. We are very happy with the improvements in this patch and sincerely hope you are all pleased with the work we’ve done...' - afterwards that sounds - at least, strange.
It may be right that there was some small public beta-testing with some specific and carefully selected community-sites/members, but was IS the result?
After reading Kobrakai's excellent roundup - http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=14317&p=1 - about the bugs, which have been found since 1.2 patch, i will seriously challenge the effort of this procedure.
The huge BF2-community was able to collect all those bugs in less than a week - crazy uh?
So why you don't simply USE those immense human resources and perform next time a more 'open' public beta-testing? Maybe on some selected/specific 'unranked servers' were players, who are keen on digging into details can seriously perform all kinds of experiments.
I am convinced that a lot of clan-members, active and serious players or simply the explorers among us would be glad to use such an option. Maybe such a disaster like with patch 1.2 will then be just history and not harm this beloved multiplayer-game and its community in such a bad way again.
