This is an excellent point by spectregunship. If you kill a sniper, why not pick up the kit for a second, place some claymores, and then reacquire your original kit? I do this all the time if I'm not in the middle of a firefight.SpectreGunship wrote:
i love killing a sniper, picking up his kit a laying down the clays. then we he comes back he gets killed by them, lmao! seriously though as soon as you couldn't disable a clay with a nade it became the gayest weapon in the game due to the guys who spawn and instantly press f4.
And I also agree with the thought that a grenade should disable a claymore.
As for those that dislike the aggressive claymore tactics... get over it. I don't know of any better way to get vet or expert explosives (although I have yet to get 30 kills for the expert) than claymores. Forget about AT Mines... you'll be very lucky to get even 10 kills with those in a round. C4 is a tough way to go too unless you're going to fling c4 down on spawn points at karkand from the roof. And frankly, skill or no skill... we're playing to win and for points, right? So plop down the claymore.
One other note on claymores. Occasionally, you will get kill messages that don't register as claymores. This will look like MoChief [killed] xxxnoob as opposed to MoChief [Claymore] xxxnoob. I'm not sure exactly why this is other than perhaps the initial claymore blast didn't quite kill them but their impact against wall or ground finally does. Keep in mind that if it doesn't say [claymore], it doesn't count as an explosive kill for 'in a round' explosives badges.
