Today i was about a third of the way through my round and realised that I had 20 kills and 5 deaths and i was top and was on my way to adding to my pitiful collection of Gold Stars. However I thought to myself hmmmm shall I sacrifice a Gold Star for that infamous Purple Heart which i can never seem to get? Satisfied with 20 kills and 5 deaths i went and hid in a corner until the game finished in order to (or so i thought) win a Purple Heart. I checked my stats a while after the game and i was like nooooooo my Purple Heart hasn't registered. Little did i know that the criteria for a Purple Heart is 5 kills/20 deaths. I could have gotten another damn Gold Star if in wasn't for my absolute stupidity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now i will make it my mission never to get that freakin Purple Heart ever.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

Same here...me and a friend (who was a Sgt when I was a Cpl or something low down) were having a comp to see who could get the most medals...so I got my PH on purpose just to say "HA! I beat you!"

NOW I realise it was a total shitty thing to do...but I did recover that score in that round and end up with 25/21 and a bronze star

Purple heart owner here, got it on my second game played. I hate to know that this medal, which is proudly excepted in real life, is a lame award here. They should have changed the critiria of it somehow to make it worth having.

Lol i did mine on purpose too, wanted a medal. Got my 5 kils within 2 min of joining then started running at everyone with a knife, when that didn't work I drove my jeep into tanks.
