In any English, English is written with a capital E. In any English, sentences start with a capital letter. And last but not least: In any English the word you are using in a comparative sense is spelled than.

the latest is he's sustained a brain injury.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nort … 367616.stm

looks like he'll be in hospital a while then. ad on a similar note, I happe to like top gear even if i son't care for the emphsis on speed (although there was one episode where they reviewed the hummer 9 I think) and compared it to asnother off-road vehicle. the hummer lost.) it's always amusing seeing the banter about the cars.

Indeed, there have also been reviews of smaller cars - the one where Clarkson, Hamster and May got their mothers to review the practicality of the Peugeot 1006 and two other similar sized cars.  JC drove a Landrover Discovery up a small mountain (big hill?) and they regularly destroy caravans.  And last series they took one on holiday before "accidentally" burning it.

Great quote on BBC News 24 just now -

There are only three possible reasons why it happened: driver error, mechanical failure, structural failure or a gust of wind blew it off course
Get well soon Hammond.  Hope you make a full recovery and come back to the show.

I put a white tape strip on top dead center of my steering wheel when dragging (back when I did that, that is, looks to be about time to put together another car) so I can make sure the wheels are straight when they touch back down after launch, which usually isn't an issue with rail cars since they have wheelie bars to keep the nose down, painting a stripe lengthwise down your drive shaft can also let you know when it's been torqued too hard, as the stripe will twist with the shaft

I hope the hampster gets well soon, Top Gear won`t be the same without him. Him, Clarkson and May are the best three presenters it`s ever had.

zomg who

Anyway, he should be fine I think he used to be a Moto GP racer so I'm sure he's had a few knocks in his life. Only other thing is will this result in the closing of Top Gear, I hope to hell not but with the banning of everything fun these days it's possible.

That's how you spell it. It's a TV programme. That is the correct spelling.

Don't make points about grammar and use it badly yourself. It's terribly bad form to start a sentence with 'and'.

Hammond will be fine.

Top Gear is not sick. Hammond knew the risks involved and he did it anyway, it is not a risk free job. If they get to have all this fun playing in jet cars there's always going to be an element of risk.

I see no reason this should affect Top Gear, other than to set back filming by a bit.

He was actually the one who came up with the idea and REALLY wanted to do it.

Unfortunately the BBC have said that the final episode in the current run of "The Best of Top Gear" - aka let's double the length of the series and show everything twice - that was supposed to be shown on 1st October has been postponed indefinitely.  I believe the next series was supposed to follow on, with possibly a week or two in between.

I seem to recall the BBC saying that they would not start the next series until Hammond was fit and well, which seems to be at least six months away, according to his neurologist.
