In any English, English is written with a capital E. In any English, sentences start with a capital letter. And last but not least: In any English the word you are using in a comparative sense is spelled than.
Don't make points about grammar and use it badly yourself. It's terribly bad form to start a sentence with 'and'.
Hammond will be fine.

Top Gear is not sick. Hammond knew the risks involved and he did it anyway, it is not a risk free job. If they get to have all this fun playing in jet cars there's always going to be an element of risk.
I see no reason this should affect Top Gear, other than to set back filming by a bit.
