Just a question, please answer in as constructive way as possible:  Why is bunny hopping and dolphin diving considered 13..., 133...., lee.... skilled?  From what I gather a lot of those in favor of 1.2 are in favor of dolphin diving and bunny hopping.  Many say it seperates the no.., noo..., people who suck from those who have skill.  Personaly I find skill is not using such exploits, and being able to kill one who is.  It doesn't bother me at all if you do such things, but why do you consider it skill?

(I just can't bring myself to use your "gaming lingo", I would feel like a 12 year old)

first off: did you not see the huge list of changes that I posted last page from all the patch changelists put together?

There is nothing wrong with bunnyhopping. It's stupid to do it in any other situation than running away from a distance, because if you do you'll be unable to fight back while still getting shot at. Complaining about it is, in my opinion, utterly retarded. from the moment they jump, you know how they will move, and all you have to do is compensate your aim a little bit.

Dolphin Diving could have been fixed easily simply by never giving a player full accuracy in midair, without any negative gameplay effects (eg. being unable to shoot while falling/jumping even if someone is so close to your gun you couldn't possibly miss them.).

Prone Spamming could have been fixed by limiting players to 2 'spams' eg. fast prone, fast get up, fast prone again, and one more fast get up. This again so an exploit can be fixed without any negative consequences to the gameplay.

Very few players made genuine use of constant prone spamming during 1.2-1.4, because as with bunnyhopping it limits your ability to fire, thus a person who just goes prone and aims can get a faster kill. I wouldn't care if it was left in the game altogether.

But noo, with the complete removal of dolphin diving and prone spamming the gameplay has also taken a big hit. All the speed is gone. Your ability to get up and back down again quickly is what kept BF2 infantry fun, because if people were forced to stand still to shoot (as it is now) the game gets boring fast. Just look at all the other popular FPS games: CSS: you get better accuracy standing up than you do prone in BF2, people can always move. CoD2: the rifles are ultra-accurate from any position. Quake 4: Every gun is dead accurate no matter what. It just all goes to show that being forced to go prone to fire slows the game down a lot.
However, thanks to the ability to go prone and get back up again in nearly an instant, this didn't really matter. But because so many people endlessly whined and whined and whined things got nerfed without DICE even taking a second to think about the consequences and find a better solution.

there are still many things to fix in this game and every patch means more experience for ea and dice. every mistake now, means a better bf3 - whatever it may be.

A very good explanation. And I Total Agree with it.

I have some topics about the consequesens of some fixes and how they could do it better then insead nerf it 100% like C4 and BH

C4 was the most easy fix ever, but still they maked it so you could not even throw it over wall anymore and I remeber there countless suggestions how to fix it better and make it more usefull then for up blowing up bridges.

the fix was very easy don't let them gain horizantaly advangtes when jumping.
and throwing C4 9m would not bepossible insteand 4M again.
But still you could throw C4 on the middle of the road andthrow it over a wall.

But testing it was to hard so they just disable tottal.



I would Like to see Revive mod for Battlefield 2
So they could add the good fixes and scrap the bad fixes and do it more balanced and skill whise.


But I think there is no mod team for that.
But if there where they could start from patch 1.12 or something added there own fixes and content and use the ABR systeem.


and I mean with bad fixes are:

1.Black hawk guns and armor, but it seems it was to hard make the rotar of the BH make a deadly part and 2.fully destroy it with two AT rockets
3.C4 = make it throw able again over a wall
4.Heli's = Rockets same old count, T.v guide rockets longer range but compensate it with more AA systeems on the ground and AA of patch 1.4
5.Infrantry movement(why not like old style, bf1942)
6.APC can fire through venche again(they fucked this up)
7.Claymore issue's =make it destroyable again because now enemy just walk over it and you can't it was good in patch 1.12
8.Planes = where much beter in patch 1.12
9. Dam I did love the godlike patch 1.12
10.'no shooting while jumping: = Retard fix, as AT I always jumpend over wall and shooted Mine AT and guided behind the wall and stilll hit. just make it  dam penealty Accuracy when jumping and you will be very in disadvangtes whiule jumping.

Even beter against bunnyhoppers because now at patch 1.4 they still have dam good Accuracy when jumping and go dive modus.



As you see many suggestion where already suggest a long time ago and I say those suggestion where 100% better.
