Hi! I've setup my brand new game server and I'm a bit disappointed by it's perfomance.

My server configuration is:
Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB RAM
100 Mbit connection

It is brand new server, so there is no tasks other than bf2 running.
Problem is: I've too low fps even on completely free server.
Here is example:

================================================
Battlefield II Dedicated Server v1.1.2963-795.0(x86_64)
"simHost BF2 Server" Average FPS: 26 [d:0, o:507]
IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Port: 16567 (LAN) Map: dalian_plant
Game mode: gpm_cq/16 Mod: bf2
Players: 0/48 (0 r) (0 connecting) Round: 1/2 Status: [playing]
---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------
================================================

As you can see it get only 25-26 fps even when there is no players at all! Processor (both cores) load is 0% all the time.
Very strange thing - "o:"-number is constanly raising with no end! Sometimes it stops, and server show normal 34 fps, after 10-15 seconds "o:" number starts raising again,and fps drops back to 25 fps.

What does "o:" number mean? How to prevent it from continiously raising? Any advice will be very helpfull.

PS. My old bf2 server has Semptron64 2000+ CPU and 512mb ram, it works fine on 33 FPS even when 32 players are online. BF2 config is the same for new and old server (except server IP settings)

wish i could help but i just started doing my own server too and have no experieice wit linux.   I personally dont judge by what it says in the console thing because in game fps when Im logged onto my server is fine so unless there is an actual lag issue while playin on the server it shouldnt be a problem. What is your connection speed? has it changed?  mine is 12down and 1 up and i can run 32 man oman with about 16 people on before it starts to lag a little and thats with jets and helis up and flyin around.

connection speed is 100Mbps and this isn't important now, beacouse I'm talking of fps on completely free server.

I've done massive testing on 3 architectures during last 24 h. Athlon64, AthlonXP, Interl Core 2 Duo and found the problem. It something like incompatibility of BF2 1.4 with Linux Kernel 2.6.19  on Intel Core 2 Duo platform. All other combinations works fine, but this one works incorrect (problem is described in my first post).

So my server now running on Linux kernel 2.6.18 without any problem.

How could I contact EA games and report an compatibiliry issue? I don't find any contacts for bugreports on  ea.com site
