2) We don't know what you were doing when a problem arose, so please tell us.
3) If you post a problem & it gets solved, whether by someone's advice or by your own doing, please post what the problem was & the steps you took to fix it so that it may possibly help others & so people know that your problem is actually fixed & they can stop trying to figure it out.

If that still doesn't work then whatever sound system you have probably has a ton of shit in your registry which means you can't likely clean it up without a reformat.
