ok so my girlfriend says she has this game called World Of Warcraft that she thinks i would like, so I'm like hmmm ok that's not really my thing but hell i have a go at it, and OMFG its sooo addictive dammit, so this is where you guys from Bf2s come in, SAVE ME!!!!! i need to be brought back from the *shudders* evil that is WoW, so please suggest some games that are good to rid me of the evil WoW!!!

Sorry mate, I like it and unlike other forms of addiction - coke, gambling, exercise, chocolate - it's not something that's going to kill you unless you're a sad Korean gold farmer. Or was he Chinese? Anyway. And the people that complain that it costs a monthly fee, it's $15 or £7.50. Who notices that kind of money? Shit, going to the cinema costs more than that. For that money you've got dedicated support, new content coming, servers you don't have to buy yourself that can handle thousands of people at any time with no lag and programmers that write patches that don't immediately create new bugs or hang servers. You've got huge worlds to explore, pvp or pve servers - you can opt out of pvp if you don't getting ganked, crafting and gathering skills, melee and ranged weapons, even grenades and aerial bombardment available.

What's the alternative, shooting people and rezzing 30 seconds after getting shot? Same map, same weapons day in, day out? No progression, nothing new to find, no different styles of gameplay, just point, click and shoot.

Give me WoW over Battlefield any day.

I hate those "magical" games. Or I guess you guys call it 'mana.' You can go play with your faries.

I would surely play an MMOFPS however. Think Battlefield 2, except on a centralized server with an enormous landscape like in WoW. No elfs, no magic, no spells. No click to attack bullshit.

would you be ready to pay 15 bucks each month in order to be able to play it ? get away from this game made by assholes who just wanna take the money from their players, worst than EA. That's better to spend your money to go out with your gf than wasting it in an addicting game.

How many bucks did a WoW's player spend already to be able to play his game for 1 year or more ?
I spent $90 for BF2 + SF + EF.

If you a young unemployed person that money might matter, £7 a month is nothing. I wouldnt even notice it going, thats 1 month of entertainment when i feel like, as many hours as i want, film = £6 thats like max 3 hours entertainment. WoW prices are nothing to be worried about.

The ONLY thing to be worried about is addiction, that only happens if you have an addictive nature, most people dont.
