she has read that whole series........i have to go see it with her, so i hope its a good movie.
She doesnt have a relationship with the guy called Will until there third book, thats out 2011, so by then she will be hot.Zimmer wrote:
I have to read them again. I seem to have forgotten them really easily. I keep getting them mixed up with Garth Nixs' lot which I read a while ago as well.
Now the best books I have read, but one of the best certainly.
But to be honest, I can't see that tiny girl having a relationship with that kid ( see? names have completely left me ).
When you see what they interpret Lyra as being, it's really quite interesting. I would never have thought of her as that.
Yeah i like the books better than harry potter, im hoping New Line cinema can pull this off though.too_money2007 wrote:
My wife is also excited. Her best friend Johnny and her have read the books and are going crazy. I personally don't see what's so great about it, but I'm sure I'll be forced to sit there and watch it. I may take a liking to them, as I like Harry Potter now that I've watched the movies.
Never had you down as a reader fusion? But i agree, fantastic book, and should make a fantastic movie.White-Fusion wrote:

Read northen lights in 2 days... 2 days ago, love reading. Read very fast which annoys me as books end too quick, even though i take it all in.fatherted13 wrote:

They better make a good job of the film, the last one and maybe the second should be maybe 15's as missing fingers, lrya and will together and all the sadness.

lol read subtle knife in 2 days, but thats about 3 hours a day reading.
if i read for over 6 hours my brain hurts.
Never thought of it like that actually. And if they don't manage to convey the emotion contained in the books, it will also, fail.SargeV1.4 wrote:
epic books. Definetely one of my few favorites. But the movies are going to fail. It's simple:
Book: portrays christianity (although not explicitly mentioned as such) as evil.
Film: will not be able to get away with any of the books underlying concepts and ideas.
I couldnt keep track of lord of the rings, i didnt like it. read all 3, but i guess i was only 13 or so, might try again one time, the hobbit was good though.fatherted13 wrote:

O also, if you like Pullman, have a look at The Ruby In The Smoke, Tiger In The Well and the rest in that series. Another fantastic set of books.
Nicole Kidman as Mrs Coutler, which should be good.Noobeater wrote:
