The Arabs DO have a problem with our lifestyle, why else would they start a global jihad to try and change our lifestyle/way of life?? They explicitly state in their fatwas that western civilization needs to be destroyed and rebuilt under a strict muslim style of government and life doctrine. The fact that you continue to think its all the wests fault is your own ignorance of the situation. . . . .

I don't think the bombings in the US, UK, Spain or Argentina (Israel's embassy and a Jewish Organization) were a direct attack on the lifestyle of the West. I think much of this has to do with the West looking away when Israel violates international law. And if you think anyone has the right to force democracy upon Iraqis or any other people you are wrong. Nobody has that right. They should deal with their issues on their own. If you think that's not imposing a lifestyle you are wrong or deluded.fadedsteve wrote:

Have you ever listened to what Bin Laden says in his speeches, or those that want to emulate him?? Honestly have you ever listened to him/heard his core message to the world and to muslims about the USA and her allies????

Osama visited the United States once. He was a big supporter of us then, because we were helping him crush the Soviet infidels (his words, not mine). But when he got here he was shocked. Shocked because of how our women dressed, how we didn't pray. Shocked at our decadence, shocked at our secular way of life. When he attacked on 9/11, it was because our way of life is wrong to them. Much as how we try to help people when we think they're being oppressed, Osama is trying to do what many religious fanatics have done in the past... bring us salvation or bring us death. It's funny, in fighting the enemy that is fundamentalist Islam, we've become like the enemy in this way. The only difference: we're right, they're wrong. It's not "different" for a people to oppress their women for the hell of it, its not "different" to teach kids to destroy instead of create. It's worse. It's wrong. I just wish we didn't have to go to their level to fight them. That's also wrong, and history will reflect that.sergeriver wrote:

And for the record, fundamentalists don't care about international law, if they did, they wouldn't behead people and leave them in the streets, or use children as human shields. Or destroy a civilian populace to attack a military force.
You talk about Osama and the extremists. And those are the less. Most Arabs are not radicals. They don't want to change our lifestyle, but they don't want their way of life to be changed either. I don't agree with many of their practices, but it's their duty to improve their society not ours. If we force changes upon them we're no better than the extremists nobody likes. Just a thought.iamangry wrote:

Ok, buy the propaganda telling you that the US has a noble cause to do this. GWB went there to give some freedom and civil liberties to the Iraqis, not after oil. Sometimes you seem too naive. But the real motivations and its consequences will be unjustified in 20+ years....long after your confused and brainwashed neoconservative diatribe has run its course.fadedsteve wrote:

This has nothing to do with Israel as a whole. . .
Israel is a catalyst, but is by no means the entire reason radical Islam acts the way they do. NO ONE is forcing democracy on anyone, we are mearly giving the Iraqi's and Afghani's a chance to live under a democracy. . . .its really their decision one way or the other. So far I think its pretty evident that they prefer to live free!! No American is forcing anyone to live as we do . . . . . as that is impossible because we live the "freeist" out of any nation in the world. The replication of that freedom is simply unfeesible. . . .however, its not unfeesible to help change nations that want to be free of people that are oppressing them! i.e. Baathists and or Jihadist regimes.
I do think imposing ones regime on anothers is WRONG and DELUDED!! We agree on that completely!! However that is not the case in the middle east. . . .we are HELPING the Iraqi's obtain a foothold for their future just as we are helping the Afghani's with their future as well.
Letting a region remove itself from its DELUDED past is not wrong or unreasonable. . . . The USA is doing the right thing, and that noble cause WILL be justified in 20+ years. . . . long after your liberal diatribe has run its course

I totally agree, Was having a conversation with my mum about this. Its time for England to take back their country from this vermin saying "everything is okay, radical Islam isn't operating right from under our noses". . . . I love the Brits, your great people, and a blast to hang out with, I don't want to see another 9/11 happen in your country!!
