Do high ranks necessarily make good players?

Yeah. So pretty much as the title says. Does a player of a huge rank necessarily own the world, or have you just walked into the same noob who gets 10 points a round every round for 4 years and is now God-Master-General of the internet, but still plays like a smacktard? Discuss.

P.S. I couldn't find any similar topic but if someone points one out to me, I'll get rid of this.

lol idk to me this seems so obvious. the answer is NO. ive seen some 4 star generals taht just
plain suck. people could also just make 2nd account...like my friend Blades who is like a Sgt. with
a 22.1 ratio as aviator. Rank means nothin, BF2 is gettin old and its quite ez to just make a 2nd account
or just whore ur stats. Ex. medic whores have no freakin skill in inf. combat or even when it comes to air to air

i think in general a high rank will mean a better player just becuase they have the experience nd hopfuly sum common sense bt as ive seen there r also some smaktard high ranks bt tht mite jst be becuase they tink they have a high rank so can be a smaktard

The best players i have played against in armor, heli's, infantry and jets have been lower ranks than me but generally the higher ranks are better. Obviously through experience.

In my clan most of the player on about 60,000 points play better than the ones with 150,000, rank does not always reflect skill

Rank is basically just how many hours someone has played. Experience in the game comes with time so I guess you could say that higher ranks may be more skillful than recent starters.

From a certain point on, you can expect a player to know how to play bf2. Generals arent generally (no pun intended) better than sgt. majors: either they have learned to play the game by 50k points, or they just suck.

It depends what they have been doing to achieve there high rank.

Some of the top players just stuck at one thing,say medic whore on karkand.

Rank means to me time spent playing the game,there we always be people shit at something.. or just having and off day.

People with higher ranks, in nearly all cases, are better players (point wise). And how else are we going to judge a player's skill if it's not by points? Just look at the scoreboard some time - the team with the shinier rank symbols wins. Sure, someone can start another account, but that's not the heart of the question here. Those who start another account with experience on their previous one should have both the stats on both the accounts added up.

Rank honestly means nothing. Rank usually just shows how long the person has been playing and how many points they have accumulated. At the same time, however, higher ranks usually mean the player is a bit better than lower ranked people, but that is certainly not always the case. Some people just don't get the hang of the game, and while they may have the highest rank, in reality, they are mediocre at best. I personally will team with higher ranked people more so than lower ranked because they SHOULD be better... having played the game long enough to reach that rank... they should have a lot more experience. But I think it's about 50/50.

Of course they do. They are skilled in most all aspects of weaponry/tactics/teamwork of the game. Practice=high rank and points/ Its simple, get the rank get the skill get the respect.

Some are some aren't. I have flown with some Generals that are fucking awesome pilots and against some that are pure toss. A few weeks ago I was fighting with a 3 star gen on some infantry only and I had to revive him 15 times in row because he was just a little wank and could not kill anybody

It truly does mean play more then rank up and own. Some low rankers plus high rankers definitely use hax to get high scores. This part of gameplay is shit. But the majority of high rankers really do play the game well.
