Right, so my router goes bad. I've gone through the setup 3-4 times and when it tries to connect to the internet I get "IP Address Error" it tells me to restart setup and try again...I don't think so, not for a fifth time assholes.
I try to reset the router, but that doesn't work. The reset light never flickers, and I get the same error when running the setup.
Ok, so I try the command prompt. I type ipconfig and it comes back with all zeros for the IP etc etc. I type release/renew and I get the message
"This action cannot be completed with the hardware not connected" Well, thats odd, I HAVE everything hooked up correctly.
Try different cables you say? Did that. Three times.
Netgears tech support guy who I swear lives in Bangladesh, says it was purchased last November and the one year hardware warranty has expired. He tells me if I have the receipt showing I purchased it earlier then a year, they can do something about it.
So, what the hell? After a year, if your product goes to shit there is not a thing the manufacturer will do for you!?
If it goes to shit shouldn't Netgear have a department for repairs?

Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
