I run BF2 on 8600GT, 6000+ Dual core, 4 gigs of ram computer. When I play BF2 I usually hit 70-80 FPS. But when I start to record with fraps that lowers down to 30-40 FPS. What's the best way to increase my fraps performance? When I start fraps it actually only uses CPU 1, and not CPU 0, whereas everything else is on both, so naturally I put it on both.
Would it be wise to put the speed to "real time" or would it be better to set BF2 as real time?
Currently Defraging to see if that changes anything, also I've set fraps at 70 FPS, fullscreen. It's a registered version.
