Go see a Doctor maybe?

If it is something like iron (or something else medical) your better off getin a proper diagnosis rather than 'what some kid said on a forum'

just whack your spud half-way before your next date then stop. You'll be a lot more giddy and awake for the date im sure and you won't fall asleep waiting.

I go to bed at 2 a.m. and wake up at 6:30 a.m. every single day except Sunday.

I have the same falling asleep problem. One cup of Joe in the morning keeps me fairly good throughout the whole day. It seems that in my case, i get really tired about 9pm but when i make it through that stage, i'm awake again. Just dont sit down or do anything where you run the risk of falling asleep. I mean, you're not gonna fall asleep typing on a computer or cleaning our your car. The key to not sleeping and functioning fairly normally is staying on your toes and staying busy. You can sit down, just not in front of your tv. Eat if you are sitting down.

this prop sounds really wierd but you can try having a tiny rope attached to a wall or roof with a hook that you then bind around you ear or to yor hair so it will hurt if you slummer away and you will then not be able to fall asleep if you dont have some instand deepsleep abilety

Okay, serious answer time.

1.  Have your thyroid and adrenals checked out.

2.  Consider true sleep disorders like narcolepsy or sleep apnea which render all sleep suboptimal and leave you tired all the time.

3.  Sleep hygiene, as per earlier posters.

basically the theory is that if your body needs 8 hrs. of sleep a night and you only give it 7, you owe your self an hour of sleep and will have a
"sleep debt" till the hour is re payed

One way to figure out how much sleep you need is to go to bed and sleep with out an alarm clock for a week ( i know it's hard to find a week
that you could actually do that)   then average out how many hours a night you slept. I know that i need 7 hrs to feel rested.
There are allot of reasons why you could be falling asleep though, the best thing to do is talk to your doctor about attending a sleep clinic, maybe you have sleep apnea or some kind of sleep disorder that is preventing you from getting proper R.E.M sleep .

Get on a regular schedule with a proper amount of sleep each night.  I used to be the same way, but because I went to bed at 1 or 2am and woke up at 7am everyday.  I would come back from school and fall asleep for 2 or 3 hours most days.  It's a self-fueling cycle.
thats about what I do, fall asleep 12-1 and wake up about 7am

Im such a procrastinator though
thats not enough sleep, i cant even go all the time with just 6 hours of sleep, try and get your stuff done a little earlier and hit the bed at 10. get at least 8 hrs of sleep

people need a different amount of sleep usually it´s between 6-8 dunno how old you´re but if your in your teens you needs abit more. I´m the complete opposite i can´t fall asleep so here i am typing 3 AM as usually i stopped count the nights when i skipped sleep completely.

If you want some tips for staying awake workout gets your body going i always feel up as hell after a workout, coffee never bad just make sure you drink em black if you´re gonna start consuming them hardcore. Videogames aint that bad actually if you wan´t to stay awake gets your adrenaline going too. And of course if possible get your sleep at night.

Edit: On a more serious note you can have a "disease" or whatever don´t know the name in english and can´t be arsed to check it out but what happens is when you are at sleep you keep getting breath-breaks they can go on for minutes with no breathing this fucks up your system pretty rough you won´t take any notice however ( except beeing tired all day ). See a doctor tell him and he´ll make some tests hopefully. If you happen to have this shit you might have to sleep with a huge gasmask looking thing good luck.

even tho you are asleep...you aren't getting into the regenerative alpha wave sleep patterns....except for your "passing out" episodes, are you generally a light sleeper?  Are you overweight?  Do you snore?  Do you still have your tonsils?

Sleep apnea is more common than you think....I had that until I had my tonsils out.  When I had my tonsils in, I was constantly tired even with copious amounts of sleep.  On my sleep study I would finally enter the deep, alpha wave pattern and would relax enough that I would have an apnea episode....which would take me out of the alpha pattern....thus would never really generate any energy.

Short and simple....go see your doctor and explain your situation and request to have a sleep study done.

I Second the suggestions of a better diet, consistent sleep schedule, exersize, and NO napping.

Napping is brutal to break a pattern from. Onceyou start taking a quick nap at a certain time a day, after a few times, it's set and a bitch to break that habit.

A shitty diet is bad too.  Think about how you feel after eating a big meal of fast food, as opposed to some orange slices, or a salad.

Being lazy, and not getting exersize actually makes you MORE tired.  Fuck if I know why, but through thurough personal testing, this is entirely true.
