Not really technical per say, but am getting more and more complaints about Asus branded motherboards from customers (I build PC's as a bit on the side from time to time). I'll tend to let the customer spec the machine them self (I'll recommend something if I think it is better but generally am not one to argue), and, the benchmarks and such online dont really tell the story of how equipment is to live with. Yet, despite me being under the impression Asus are one of the premier brands in motherboards, there causing me quite a few headaches.
I've had Striker extreme 2's back
Maximus formula edtions
And everything between and under. Out of my last ten builds, 7 have had asus boards, and out of that, I have replaced 4 them with a competitor board something like a month later on average, because of problems specific to them.
Apparantly the issue arose from the shift of production to china.
Anyone else had problems? Or is it just me
