I think that sound she hears is the sound of the nail being driven into the coffin of her campaign. Youtube>bald faced lies.

I think I can safely say that the Democratic party often functions like the best friend of the Republican one.  They're quite good at blowing presidential elections.

Here's to hoping you're right, ATG.  Obama is really the only hope the Democrats have in beating McCain, and that hope is rather slim to begin with.

How could that be?
8 years of Bush, 5+ years of Iraq, economy on the bricks, gas is out of control. How is it that the dems couldn't muster a viable candidate?

It reminds me of when Dole ran, it was like the republicans just didn't care.
It seems like that for all of the talk the democrats are content to hand it to McCain. It seems like nobody must have looked at Obama, I'm mean come on...the church thing...
They knew Hillary is not liked, hell I don't think the democrats like her and everybody else hates her.
What gives?

A lot of Democrats are too stubborn to admit that Hillary scares the hell out of many people.

Also, McCain is a war hero.  That always helps attract people.  In addition to that, he actually has a lot of moderate appeal.  It amuses me that many Republicans seem to hate him despite the fact that he is much more formidable than Romney or Huckabee were.

The problem is that McCain is just more of the same.  He's like a much smarter version of Bush, but he's going to push the same nation-building agenda.   If we don't get out of Iraq soon, our standard of living is going to seriously fall.

every day that these democrat candidates drag this out, Sen. McCain gains a little more of a foothold.  and he doesn't even have to say or do anything.

" John McCain—his grandfather and father were the second-ever father-son four-star admirals in the US Navy.  John McCain, being the third generation here with a lot of expectations on him, rebelled against those expectations. He finished near the bottom of his class, 894th out of 899 at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. One of many things that’s little understood about John McCain is that from the beginning he was spending crazy amounts of money. You know, he’s this champion of campaign finance, but he wildly outspent his opponents in Arizona time and time again, especially at the beginning of his career. "

Sounds familiar.

I think for the Clintons this is more important than the presidency. If Obama wins the nomination and the general election a whole new power base (and with it a whole new leadership) will control the party. All of the familiar faces that have been the Democratic party for the last couple of decades will fall to the side.

Bill will no longer be the unofficial or official party leader and Hillary will just be the junior senator from New York. They lose power.

All I have to say to that video is 'pwn7.'

So Hillary loses support due to that, and Obama loses support from that harebrained race speech he gave. What next? Politicians that don't understand the internet?

Or maybe he does, but can't elaborate...who knows?

this is another scale-tipper for me. Obama and Clinton are neck-and-neck in my book right now, but this is complete bullshit from Hillary. I'm having a hard time understanding why she would be so oblivious to the danger in lying that blatantly. Bad move, Mrs. Clinton.

John McCain is going to be the next president. The Democrat candidates are infighting and looking like a couple of squabbling teenagers to on the fence voters, who will no doubt vote in droves for McCain who is playing the solid experience card with no republican nominee to in fight with.

The outlook for this planet is grim.

YEY Tuzla is my home town and I remember everyone being happy she was coming   (although the US base is not actually in Tuzla)

An of course she is full of shit, even the explanations of her staff that she ment there was fighting around the airport is bullshit. But that's politics.

The people who support Hillary probably dont youtube to begin with.

I wonder if "under sniper fire" and "running to the bunkers" counts as whitehouse experience

With all that, and the candidates can't come up with a message that resonates with the public. Is that the public's fault, or is it the fault of the candidates? I choose the latter.

The dems didn't figure out after the last election that "I'm not Bush" simply isn't enough reason to elect them to office.

The Dems definitely screwed the pooch last election, but it wasn't "I'm not Bush" which was the message that lost, the message was "I'm like Bush, only with better hair."

They had two candidates they could have put forward that were better known and more charismatic than Kerry, Wesley Clark (the General who's balls clang together when he walks), and Howard Dean (the original "People Power!" candidate).  Either one would have killed Bush in a re-election.  They chose instead to go with the wishy-washy middle-road jerk off with no power or charisma.  The Dems bought into the FauxNews propoganda that they should try to compete with Bush by being just as dumb.  Same thing is happening right now with Hillary vs. Obama.  They have some power junky that really won't change things at all vs. Mr. Charisma that, if anything, at least inspires people and has some form of principles...somehow its still "too close to call."

And where do you get your assessment of Clark? He's an unbelievable douche.

Howard Dean...maybe. His ability to do the job was questionable.

Personally, I would love to see a McCain vs Obama general. At least then it wouldn't be "the lesser of two evils" like normal, but rather a choice as to who is the better candidate, with the better plan and policies. It would be a refreshing change.
